The Hijras, these men dressed as women, were rejected by their
families because changing gender in India is inconceivable, like changing
of caste.
These men do not like women and cannot fulfill the role
of a woman nor that of a man in the family, according to their
close, form a third gender.
They live on the margins of society under the tutelage of gurus and are
forced to prostitute themselves, to beg in the wagons reserved for
women, on the roads, in order to survive.
Society gives them gifts of happiness: they bless the
marriages and births.
When begging in the wagons, they bless each woman
placing a hand on their head...
